Discovery is a three day weekend for 6th-8th graders held in the local church. Senior highs are the leaders who are trained to lead worship, give talks, lead disciple groups, create videos and skits, and lead the mid-high students to a deeper relationship with Christ. The whole church is invited to live out its covenant of love and care for the students. Parents and each group of the church are asked to help in some way with the weekend.
The Discovery Manual includes 110 pages of instructions on how to hold the weekend. The manual includes a detailed outline of the weekend, the worship services, student talk outlines, music and videos suggestions, disciple group activities, set up and supply lists, job descriptions to get your whole church involved, planning timeline, parent and youth letters, and team meeting instructions.
The Discovery Kit also includes: two Discovery local church posters, a sample registration form (order more for your church at no additional charge through Discovery website), password to training pages on website, and sample gift from Discovery store.
