Message on back panel reads:
We Pray and We Work
The folded hands are a symbol of prayer and devotion, and the Cross is the sign of Christ's sacrifice for us and a reminder of the cross of self-denial we are to carry for Him.
Devotion and discipline - "Trust and Obey" - these are the twin tasks of Christian faith and life. How simple, and yet how demandingly difficult! The best discipline is self-discipline. That which is imposed on us from the outside we resist. That which we willingly and gladly take upon ourselves, because we love the Lord, becomes a delight.
The Christian life is wonderfully practical. It combines faith and common-sense. The story is told of a saintly old Bible scholar who used to be at his studies at five o'clock every morning. A student asked him, "Do you pray much about it, so that you can arise so early?" "No," replied the old ma, with a twinkle in his eyes., "I just set the alarm clock, and when it rings, I get up."
It's just that simple. We trust the Lord, are in constant relationship of prayer, and then we do what we know we have to do.
This Special Offering coin folder is for a project which your church has approved. We need your prayers, and we trust in your intelligent generosity to give as you are able.
