"A few seeds make a small harvest, but a lot of seeds make a big harvest." - 2 Corinthians 9:6-9 (CEV)
Our 2010 Commitment theme is based on this verse from 2 Corinthians.
“More Than Enough” invites People to be blessed as they bless others. As God’s People invest their gifts and talents on behalf of God’s kingdom, they experience God providing more than enough – more than enough to meet their needs, needs in the local community, and the needs of congregational ministry.
Congregants are also given an opportunity to bless their brothers and sisters in Christ by sharing their giving stories with them.
Both activities, investing gifts and telling stories, nurture people’s hearts in the truth that God provides more than enough to meet their needs. Releasing and recalling God’s blessings also encourages people to respond by giving to support their congregation and investing themselves in its ministry.
“More Than Enough” focuses on worship that celebrates God’s gifts and blessings. During the final service, people make commitments to support their congregation’s ministry.
This annual giving emphasis can be effective any time of the year. It can span as little as six-weeks or up to six-months. “More Than Enough” can be used by any size church.
This Commitment Card makes it simple for your congregation members to make their pledge. It has this year’s logo imprinted on it. It is 2-color on both sides, 3 ½” x 7 ¾”, and the cover is made of 80-lb. opaque White Eastern paper stock. Available in packages of 100.

A tithe (from Old English teogoþa, "tenth") is a one-tenth part of something, paid as a (usually) voluntary contribution, usually to support a religious organization. Today, tithes (or tithing) are normally voluntary and paid in cash or checks; whereas historically tithes could be paid in kind, such as agricultural products.
