The Calling the Disciples unit uses the Bible story included in Mark 1:16-20. Jesus was walking along the Sea of Galilee when he saw the brothers Simon and Andrew casting nets into the sea. Jesus invited them to follow him, and they immediately left their nets behind. Shortly afterward Jesus saw Zebedee's sons, James and John, mending nets with their father. Jesus offered them the same invitation: "Follow me." The two men dropped everything and followed Jesus.
