This liturgy follows “An Order for Celebrating the Holy Eucharist” in The Book of Common Prayer for use on or around October 4th, The Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Suggested hymns are from Wonder, Love and Praise: A Supplement to The Hymnal 1982. The liturgy includes Psalm 148:7-14, Matthew 11: 25-30 and an original responsive Prayers of the People. This can be used for a simple Blessing of the Animals or can be used in conjunction with the Eucharist. A blessing of pets with suggestions for a homily or sermon play are also included.
The cast includes 6 or more persons. This presentation is intended for use by intergenerational groups and is 30-60 minutes in length, depending on music chosen, number of animals to be blessed and whether a Eucharist will be part of the liturgy. This script includes 7 pages.
is a collection of dramas, pageants and other church programs. There are pieces for Advent/Christmas, Lent/Easter, After Pentecost, and general times throughout the year.
Skiturgies pieces are downloadable. The purchase price includes full right to reproduce material for everyone involved in the presentation.
