Joseph's dreams enraged his brothers; even his indulgent father was critical, but he himself had the conviction that they were indications of some future status and supremacy. Then he was sold by his brothers and slandered by a woman, imprisoned by his master and ignored by a butler. The dreams were shattered; would they ever become reality?
