In his abbreviated lifetime, Charlie Smith demonstrated an uncommon love for the poor and stood against the tide of the norm to implement visions on their behalf. He was instrumental in the founding of H.E.A.R.T., located in Florida, which trains and prepares students to be missionaries. Heart to Honduras was the result of his vision to connect Central and North American churches in a ministry to the poor of Honduras.
