Why did God say He loved Jacob and hated Esau? Why did He harshly reject Saul who doesn't seem to have sinned as much as David? Why is it that despite his crimes, weaknesses and transgressions, the latter is the man after God's heart; that is to say, the type of man or woman who pleases the Lord? It is because of God's favour. The Scriptures are full of characters that, like David, have enjoyed extraordinary favour. While studying their lives, I realised that this favour was neither elective nor elitist, but triggered by certain sacred principles and virtues. Anyone who discovers and applies them inevitably becomes a man or a woman that God will seek, find and bless beyond measure: they are CATALYSTS OF FAVOUR. Florence Pungong is an Internist Physician by training and profession who converted from Islam to Christianity in January 1992.
