What about the author? He was born to sharecropper parents in south Alabama during World War II. His parents managed to move to Winter Haven, FL in 1947. He graduated from Winter Haven Senior High and as of the copyright date of this book, He and his wife of forty-four years live there today. That makes them somewhat of a rarity these days. They have two greatly loved children and three absolute jewels for grand children. He loves to serve the Lord at every opportunity and has a sense of humor that's dry at times but obvious. He doesn't consider himself a "smart" person, just a "Blessed" person. Thankful for what God has provided and blessed him with over the years. Especially during the years he was serving himself instead of the Lord. Though the man doesn't consider himself a poet, over the years he has written some very pointed poems and some entertaining short stories. Of course, poetry is mostly perception and what one may be looking for, but I think you will find his writings quite good.
