Traditional ways of thinking about the teachings of Jesus are often bound to one system of thought or another. Such ways of thinking are typically greater expressions of society's thinking (whether in the church or in the world) than what Jesus taught. Jesus is Not Safe concerns some such ways, ways that a thoughtful disciple of Jesus needs to challenge. Wang Bin Yu has taught at various theological institutions in Canada. He has been a Baptist missionary in Africa and was an Anglican pastor, and he is now living and teaching in China.
