"Blessed is the man...whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night." (Psalm 1:1) Caregivers are in constant need of answers to hard questions about the best ways to minister to their loved ones. The world has many suggestions, but how do we know what is the right thing to do in each instance? Caregiving can be overwhelming. By the time Darlene Saunders had to care for her Alzheimer Disease-afflicted husband, Larry, she had already cared for several other family members, at least one with Alzheimer Disease. Years of learning how to make necessary decisions for herself and her loved ones aided her when it came time to care for her husband. She turned to prayer and searched God's Word for answers. In Psalms for Caregivers, she shares the comfort and direction she received from God's special book of poetry-the Psalms. Featured verses are given, along with devotional thoughts-mostly from Darlene's own experiences. Each devotion ends with a prayer of gratitude and/or direction. Darlene's prayer is that many readers will be blessed and encouraged by sharing her journey.
