In Fit to Be a Pastor, G. Lloyd Rediger advocates a holistic approach to clergy fitness. He believes that to facilitate God’s purposes in the world pastors must be fit physically as well as mentally and spiritually. Only then can they model the wholeness concept of fitness by which a person can be a truly fit witness to God. Rediger discusses the disciplines necessary to move closer to such fitness, and provides appropriate exercises, including illustrations.
