James Newton Poling is professor pf pastoral care,counseling and theology and the director of the Ph.D program at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. He is a trained pastoral psychotherapist with fifteen years of experience working with male abusers. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of pastoral Care and The Journal of Religion and Abuse and is well-known expert on the topic of male violence.
