Jim Williams is a parenting and character development specialist who leads seminars, workshops and classes for parents, children and teachers. After more than twenty years in management with Alcoa, Jim traded the corporate world for the classroom when his son was killed by a drunk driver in 1995. Currently he serves as Director of Parent educations and Asset Development for STARS (Students Taking a Right Stand), a school-based program dedicated to helping students make healthy lifestyle choices and refrain from the use of alcohol, other drugs and violence. Jim lives in Brentwood, Tennessee and is a columnist for a variety of community newspapers and a frequent speaker and teacher for numerous churches, businesses and service organizations. He also served on the county’s Domestic Violence Committee, and YMCA Youth Development Advisory Board.
