Description

ARE YOU WONDERING WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE?

Who am I? Who did God create me to be? How does God want me to live? What am I to do with my life? This study offers a unique opportunity to explore answers to these questions through group discussion and personal reflection.

Restless Hearts: Where Do I Go Now, God?  is a 6-week study for young adults that will help them reflect upon who they are, upon what they want to do with their lives, and upon God’s presence and care in the midst of their vocational journey.

It includes the following topics:

  • “Inside Out Expectations” identifies the tensions that exist between an inner sense of values and calling and the expectations of others.
  • “Passion and Vocation” explores listening to inner passions as a way of listening for God.
  • “Trusting the Gifts” explores trusting that God’s purposes move through their gifts.
  • “Listening in the Shadows,” explores the role that our needs, anxieties and places of brokenness play in helping us listen for God.
  • “Somebody’s Calling Your Name,” explores claiming vocation as we engage in acts of service and justice.
  • “Taking Risks,” taking the risk to change as an invaluable tool for moving for experiencing greater trust in God and greater awareness of God’s call.

 This planning kit includes:

  • a Workbook for use during the session and for personal reflection  (order a workbook for each member of your group) view a sample here
  • a Leader guide with complete instructions for planning and leading the session
  • and a DVD with video presentations exploring the topic of vocation through interviews, personal testimony, storytelling, and dramatic readings.
