Count and illuminate each day of Advent.
Joseph and Mary stand watch over the baby Jesus in a classic full color Nativity illustration, with highlights of glitter accents.
These bits of glitter reflect the light of the Advent candle (included), decorated in a Christmas motif and top to bottom markings, numbered 1 through 24. The candle is lit once each day of Advent as each calendar window is opened.
Three-panel construction allows this Advent calendar to stand upright. It measures 91/2" x 13".
The children of your congregation and their families can count the days to Christmas and connect with the Nativity story in a hands-on way. Open window number 1 on December 1 and see what is revealed on the other side. Continue opening a window each day until you reach the last window, number 24, which is opened on Christmas Eve.

Did you know...
Christians use Advent wreaths as part of their spiritual preparation for Christmas. After all, Christ is “the Light that came into the world” to dispel the darkness of sin and to radiate the truth and love of God (cf. John 3:19-21).
The four candles represent the four weeks of Advent. The purple candles in particular symbolize the prayer, penance, and preparatory sacrifices and good works undertaken at this time. The progressive lighting of the candles symbolizes the expectation and hope surrounding our Lord’s first coming into the world and the anticipation of His second coming to judge the living and the dead.
The light again signifies Christ, the Light of the world. Some modern day adaptations include a white candle or Christ Candle placed in the middle of the wreath, which represents Christ and is lit on Christmas Eve.
