Palm Sunday
Say to the Daughter of Zion, “See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” – Matthew 21:5 (NIV)
Palm branches over the image of a trail through barren land is a visual reminder of the journey Jesus made into the city, which helps your congregation begin the journey through Holy Week. The bulletin is blank inside and back cover onto which the order of the service, song lyrics and other important information can be copied. It is 8 1/2” x 11” and arrives unfolded in shrink wrapped packages of 100, but folds to 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”.

The palms symbolize victory – the final victory over death by Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection. The mood of the day is a mixture of triumphant joy in the procession, followed by a growing realization that the crowds that cheered on Sunday would shout “crucify him” on Friday. Palm Sunday sets the tone of Holy Week.
