Listen...to the words of the Scripture, and in them discover God's message for you today.
Look...at a brief verbal snapshot from the scrapbook of contemporary life and discover its connection both to you and to the Scripture passage.
Live...inside the Scripture to discover its context and message; then allow the Scripture to come alive in you and cause you to live out your faith in new and more-effective ways.

Who do you look like? I look like my mother. No, she does not have a moustache or a goatee; but our eyes and our expressions make it clear that we share a common genetic background. My son Aaron looks a great deal like me. His brother, Adam, looks like my wife, Cheri, especially with his big, round, bright blue eyes.
Who do you sound like? When my brother Tim and I speak with each other, it sounds like we are in an echo chamber because the tone and timbre of our voices are nearly the same.
We are truly more alike than different, we humans. If I were to put a small child from North Korea, a child from Uganda, and another from South Dakota behind a curtain and make them laugh, you probably would not be able to tell the difference between them. And yet, at some point in time we begin focusing more on our differences than on our similarities, don’t we? The moment we decide that our differences are more important than the image of God we bear, we lose our bearings and head down a road that is intent on dividing us. The farther away from each other we choose to remain, the more difficult it is to see, much less believe, that we still share the one thing that truly matters: the image of God.
In this lesson we will work to discover our mission, the mission that we human beings have as the bearers of God’s image.
