What is all that commotion in our Bible Lesson? Can you hear it? Two brothers are bickering, struggling, striving against each other. It is a full-blown rivalry, active and malignant. There is grasping and brokenness and a need for reconciliation. Even on this day as we break the bread and drink from the cup of righteousness, Jacob and Esau have much to teach us about what it means to be part of
a family that does not always function with much love.
Can God’s intention for our world still be lived out when relationships are broken? We will see as we explore our Bible Lesson how God’s purposes are fulfilled in spite of human brokenness.
