All who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons and daughters. 15 You didn’t receive a spirit of slavery to lead you back again into fear, but you received a Spirit that shows you are adopted as his children. With this Spirit, we cry, “ Abba, Father. ” 16 The same Spirit agrees with our spirit, that we are God’s children. 17 But if we are children, we are also heirs. We are God’s heirs and fellow heirs with Christ, if we really suffer with him so that we can also be glorified with him.
Here is a faithful retelling of the Christmas story in song and narration. The music is a wonderful mixture of traditional carols and contemporary Christmas classics, including a handful of Jack Schrader’s blockbuster arrangements like “Mary, Did You Know?”, “Silent Night,” and “How Great Our Joy.” The narrations are deep and insightful, demanding much passion and heartfelt emotion. Staging can be quite simple or expanded to include costumed actors creating tableaux to present the narrations. The congregation is frequently involved, being asked to sing on four occasions. Which leads to a satisfying experience for all. Accompaniment can be provided by just piano, CD track, or full orchestration arranged by Mark Kellner. Go Tell It! Has moments of quiet worship and reflection, but is characterized throughout as an upbeat, exuberant celebration of the joy of Christmas. Performance time is 39 minutes.
