This history tells a story - a story of people and their institution driven by a biblical commandment to spread the good news.  Through war and violence, famine, urban decay and rural poverty as well as through joy in worship in many styles, tongues, through healing, through education of thousands of talented young people, Methodist accomplished the work of Christ and empowered people around the world in new ways to work for their faith and the common good.
