Description
Making Disciples pairs confirmands with adult mentors and guides them through a variety of learning experiences that will strengthen the student's understanding of the faith while connecting him or her with the community of believers in a personal way. Topics covered include: God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Worship, The Bible, Saints and Gifts, Ministry, Baptism, Spiritual Life , Death and Resurrection, Life in the Church, and The Faith Journey Continues.
The Coordinator's Guide includes helpful background on the origin and meaning of Confirmation, tips on setting up an organizational meeting, finding mentors, mentor support and training, and suggestions for the Confirmation Service.
To undergird the need for mentor support, a video has been prepared to accompany this course. The video provides an introduction to each session as well as helpful information about the challenges and questions mentors and students will likely bring to each session topic.
Making Disciples can be used as a stand-alone program, or in conjunction with your current curriculum as a special experiential unit.
