Message on back panel reads:
"BEHOLD, YOUR INFANT KING!"
as we look at the bright, beautiful Christmas Picture our artist has given us, our hearts are glad. All the colors of joy are there: the red, the yellow, the orange, the blue, the green, and the colors in between.
Proud as any father could ever be, Joseph stands behind his wife Mary and the infant Jesus. His arms reach out in happy invitation: "Here is your young King! Behold Him! Love Him! Care for His dear Mother!"
Joseph's invitation is God's gracious call to us. Three things are worthy of remembrance.
It is a call to share in his joy. Eagerly was the Child expected, and lovingly was He cherished.
The call is also to us to come, to gaze in wonderment, and to feel love in our hearts. Here is "the Divine Mystery," and yet it is no secret incapable of being known and gratefully experienced. The invitation is to all people to come in simple faith, accepting Christ's love, and seeking to be obedient to God's will.
Also, the call is to urgent tasks, the opportunities of service for and witness to Him.
The Magi, Wise Men from the East, brought costly gifts of gold, incense, and spices. Our gifts may not be so lavish, but the love and loyalty of our hearts will be precious gifts, gratefully accepted by your Church.
A modest Monetary gift, cheerfully placed in this Advent Offering folder, will with the gifts of your fellow-worshipers, amount to a great deal.
Your Church wishes you the best, most spiritually meaningful Christmas you have ever had!
