Did you know. . .
Communion is also known as Holy Communion, The Lord's Supper, and The Eucharist (from the Greek word for thanksgiving). The bread and wine (or juice of the grape) used in the service are known in liturgical traditions as the Elements. Communion is a Christian sacrament. The sacraments are outward, visible signs of an inward, spiritual grace. Communion recalls the last supper of Jesus with the disciples and Christ's continuing presence with us.
Intinction: A method or practice of administering the sacraments during communion, where the bread or wafer is dipped in the wine and both are administered together.
