Every year United Methodist pastors and church leaders review their charge for the past year, document their current status and resources, reflect on the work that has been done, and develop plans to deepen and broaden their ministry. The Charge Conference Forms in this booklet provide the minimum reporting requirements specified for this process by The Book of Discipline. This set of data has provided a sound base for evaluating “how it is” with us over decades to help congregations identify and respond to change. Ultimately, The General Council on Finance and Administration publishes the data collected through the annual process that begins, in part, with these forms as The General Minutes of The United Methodist Church, an important statistical record.
