Once again America is faced with a tragic loss, this time at Virginia Tech, that feels senseless and impossible to understand. In such times, it is natural for us to turn to God and church leaders for solace and an attempt to understand why these things happen. In the coming days many vigils, memorial services and discussions will be held to help ease the burden of sadness and despair that leaves its mark after such a tragic event. Whether friend, family or stranger to the victims, we are all affected in some way.
It is the hope of the Cokesbury family that the resources below will aid in ministering to all who are touched by this tragedy, as well as in personal healing.
Worship in the Key of Disaster is guidance for pastors and other church leaders in helping their congregations deal with the Virginia Tech tragedy.
