Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must be patient as you wait for the coming of the Lord.
7 Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must be patient as you wait for the coming of the Lord. Consider the farmer who waits patiently for the coming of rain in the fall and spring, looking forward to the precious fruit of the earth. 8 You also must wait patiently, strengthening your resolve, because the coming of the Lord is near. 9 Don’t complain about each other, brothers and sisters, so that you won’t be judged. Look! The judge is standing at the door!
10 Brothers and sisters, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord as an example of patient resolve and steadfastness.
Do I need to take all four DISCIPLE studies before I can take CHRISTIAN BELIEVER?DISCIPLE is not a prerequisite for CHRISTIAN BELIEVER. However, DISCIPLE I (or other in-depth Bible studies) can help equip participants with background and study disciplines needed to experience CHRISTIAN BELIEVER.
My church has never offered CHRISTIAN BELIEVER. How can I take a look at the resources? Please visit the Free Downloads section of this website to download a free sample lesson.
Will CHRISTIAN BELIEVER be too difficult for me?Probably not. It will be challenging. Some classes have reported that the first few lessons seem somewhat difficult for participants; however, after the first three to five lessons, persons start to feel more comfortable with the Readings and format of the study.
Is CHRISTIAN BELIEVER a study of the United Methodist doctrine? No. CHRISTIAN BELIEVER is a study of the classical doctrines: a consensus of what the Christian church believes. This is an ecumenical study.
Can I use CHRISTIAN BELIEVER in my Sunday school class?Yes, you can, but you will need to expand the Sunday school session to 2 1/2 hours for the weekly group meeting.
How small or large can a group be? Groups of at least eight and no more than fourteen will function best.
Can we break up the study into smaller sections? Yes, you can. The most feasible break would occur after Lesson 18 (Holy Spirit).
I have been to a DISCIPLE training seminar previously. Is it a requirement that I attend training for the CHRISTIAN BELIEVER program?Training is not required in order to purchase CHRISTIAN BELIEVER materials.
