Nothing challenges a person to examine his or her identity quite like an adventure in God’s great outdoors. A pristine forest to explore. Fascinating animals to observe. Opportunities to learn new skills and reach new heights as campers overcome obstacles they once may have thought impossible.

At Son Rock Kid's Camp, campers will build bonds of friendship with each other and with caring counselors as they discover that their true identities are not formed by where they go, what they can do or what others think.  They will explore who they are in Jesus Christ – the most important relationship of all.

Day-to-Day Lessons:

Day 1:  Accepted by Jesus

Bible Story: Jesus Chooses Peter (Matthew 4:18-20, Luke 5:1-11, John 1:40-42)

Bible Verse: “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” – 1 John 3:1

Day 2:  Protected by Jesus

Bible Story:  Jesus Walks on Water (Matthew 14:13-36)
Bible Verse: “I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” – Isaiah 41:13 

Day 3:  Saved by Jesus

Bible Story:  Peter’s Confession of Christ (Matthew 16:13-17, 26-28)

Bible Verse: “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

Day 4:  Forgiven by Jesus

Bible Story:  Peter Denies Jesus (Matthew 26:31-35, 69-75; Luke 22:54-62; John 21:1-17)

Bible Verse: “You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you.” – Psalm 86:5

Day 5:  Living for Jesus

Bible Story:  Peter Helps a Lame Man (Acts 3)

Bible Verse: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10
